Friends of Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter One:

This is just a reminder that the Ride to Wall/Ride for Freedom is quickly approaching and there will an orientation session on April 23, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for those of you who are planning on participating. This will be the 30th anniversary of the Ride for Freedom and we are expecting the largest crowd in the Ride’s history. The orientation session is a requirement for all riders and passengers who are planning on May 25 through 30, 2017.

If you are planning on attending the April orientation session, please remember to bring $35 for you and also $35 for your rider. This fee covers the cost of the recovery trailers that we use to assist you in the event of a motorcycle breakdown. It also is used to provide tour buses on the Friday evening after we arrive in Washington, DC for an evening Memorial Service at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Also, please bring with your driver’s license and motorcycle proof of insurance. At the orientation, you will be grouped into squads and the squad leaders will be checking these documents to ensure you have a motorcycle endorsement and motorcycle insurance.

After the April orientation, May 21st from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and May 24th from 7:00 to 8:30 PM will be the last two opportunities to attend an orientation. You only have to attend one orientation session to participate.

This year’s ride will start off at Indianapolis International Airport with a special dedication ceremony of another POW*MIA Chair of Honor inside the Airport. Everyone is welcome to attend the dedication ceremony even if you are not participating in the Ride to the Wall/Ride for Freedom.
