It seems that I’ve had a bit of a problem. I’ve been receiving the “MAILER-DAEMON” for some time so I really haven’t paid much attention. I guess I should have…..as it seems that everything that I’ve posted in about the past 2 weeks has not been delivered to anyone. so I will post this information AGAIN, not that you got it in the first place. OK a little humor there……
Let me put this out there first…..Dinner Ride to Clayton Cafe’ is THIS Thursday, October 6th, KSU 6:30 pm.
We had our ride to Ivanhoe’s in Upland, IN. we had a pretty good turn out. it seems though that I missed the message that it is a “first come first served” basis. We ended up going back to Gas City to eat at a little hole in the wall bar. It WAS an all day ride.
The dinner ride for September was on the 1st at Squealer’s in Mooresville. I heard it was a pretty good turn out. Kevin and I weren’t there as I was in the hospital. AGAIN
One thing that was brought up and voted on was the tenure of the officers. It was brought up how long should an officer serve their term. It was then mentioned that an officer should be in office for 2 years, presented to the members and voted on. So, as it is, We, your officers will be in office through 2017. Randy, Assistant Director and Craig, Road Captain, will be leaving their respective offices. I would like to thank both of these great men for their service and dedication to the Chapter. If you are interested in serving in either of these offices, we need to know at the October meeting. Which by the way is October 19th, 7:00 pm (6:30 pm for hamburgers and hot dogs). We will vote on the names that are submitted our December meeting/party.
We had our Chapter picnic on Sunday, October 2nd at Raccoon Lake. It was an awesome day. It was a little cool when we started off then grew warmer as the day went on. (Just like every other year that we do it) We had 20 people there. I take some of the blame for there being a lower turn out. Julie did get some things out there, so I know that some of you got her messages.
I want to put out a HUGE thank you out to Julie and Glen, Dennis and Debbie and Kevin for helping pull this all together and pulling it off. Julie and Dennis did all the shopping. Dennis and Glen did the cooking. Debbie, Julie, Glen and Dennis did the prepping and organizing. Randy and Tracy led us out there.
Our November Meeting/Dinner is November 3rd. destination TBD.
Our December Meeting/Dinner is still up in the air. December 3rd/10th were thrown out there. It was suggested and voted on that we would do our gift donations to Toys for Tots again this year.
I’m sorry that this is “late” getting to you…..I hope to see you on Thursday at Clayton Cafe…
